David began his banking career in 1984 and his career at Pioneer Bank in 1986. He has extensive residential mortgage, business, and agriculture lending experience. With his vision and leadership, the bank has accomplished five mergers and acquisitions, two de novo branch openings and significant organic growth since 1994, creating an $800 million community with seven locations throughout south-central Minnesota.
A graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, David also completed the Minnesota Bankers Association Commercial Lending School and Midwest Banking Institute. His community leadership includes serving as Chair of a several organizations in St. James and Mankato including the St. James Area Chamber of Commerce, the St. James EDA, GreenSeam, and Greater Mankato Growth. His industry leadership includes serving as Chair of the Minnesota Bankers Association, a member of the Minnesota Bankers Association Government Relations Council, a member of the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council, and a member of the Glen A. Taylor Foundation Board of Directors.
To relax, David enjoys golf, travel and classic TV and movies. He is an avid Minnesota sports fan—especially the Twins—and enjoys spending time with his family including his twin grandsons and granddaughter.
